In 1978, Stan Bowen began one of the nation's first independent handpiece repair shops. In an attempt to keep small businesses out of the repair business, manufacturers would not sell replacement parts to independent repair shops. Stan saw this challenge as an opportunity and began purchasing computerized machinery to manufacture after-market parts that were not available to him.

Through the years, Stan acquired more machinery and equipment, expanding to meet the increasing demands of his own and other repair shops. After several more independent repair facilities entered the marketplace, Stan decided to sell his repair division and focus solely on the manufacturing of high quality, economical, after-market replacement parts.

Today, Stan now has dozens of computerized machines running around the clock in his 12,000 square foot facility in Orange, California. As such, Handpiece Parts and Products Inc. has established itself as the world leader in the dental handpiece replacement parts industry.
